I’ll start with the basics.
I have three categories in which I explore the Intrinsic aspect of Relationships:
Why We Have Relationships
How We Manage Relationships
How We Can Create Relationships
Today, I’m giving you an overview of the first category: Why We Have Relationships
Why We have Relationships
First, I see everything as a relationship, not just our interactions with living things.
We have a relationship
with individuals like a friend or a partner or a parent,
with groups like families or co-workers,
with things like money or technology.
with the environment.
with society.
with culture.
with religion.
with Patriarchy.
Every relationship we have influences how we live, how we learn, what we learn, and the experiences we have.
Each relationship has been crafted to help you learn, heal, and grow as a Spiritual being.
When we are unconscious, our learning and healing are often done through adversity, and because of this, many of our relationships are challenging.
These relationships are challenging because they are pushing us to do our work.
Here’s An Example
So let’s take money as an example. If you have a challenging relationship with money, your first question should always be, ‘what am I trying to work on? What is money trying to teach me, or help me learn? What do I need to learn or heal to improve my relationship with money?’
Without understanding that you have deeper lessons to learn through money, and without learning how to work through them, your challenges with money will keep rising up.
You can replace ‘money,’ with anything, like mom, sister, satisfaction at work, life partner.
That’s why stepping into Conscious Awareness and Conscious Learning are so important. When you are conscious to what you are working on, and you have tools to work on these things, life becomes easier, you begin to see what you are working and how you are working on it and with tools, you actually heal, which enables you to grow.
Try this:
Make a list of all the relationships you have.
Highlight the ones that challenge you.
Ask yourself ‘What am I trying to learn and/or heal?’
In my next ‘Let’s Talk About’ post, I’ll talk about Relationship Management.
