Defining Our Spirit and Soul

Understanding our existence requires us to look at the fundamental components that define our experience: the Spirit, the body, and the Soul. These elements don't just coexist; they interact in ways that shape our reality, potential, and understanding of what it means to be human.

Defining Spirit

Our Spirit contains our ability to create, to transmute, and to heal aspects of our lives and reality. It contains our ability to know all and to access all. Our Spirit contains our ability to create our life, make life, and create worlds. But it is powerless without a physical form - our body.

Living as a human is an experiment. It's about seeing if we can combine the essence of our Spirit with the physical world through our physical form. The entire experiment boils down to this - can we evolve our physical form - body, ego, mind, emotions - to the point where our Spirit can embody our form and use our Spiritual power without misusing it?

You see, this has been the journey - it's a question of whether we can embody our Spiritual power. Over the eons, we have tried coming in as Spirit with our consciousness and power intact, and we failed - the ego, mind, and emotions took over and led us to disastrous outcomes. In turn, we set about a process to evolve our physical being (mind, ego, emotions, and body) through a series of lessons and learning with the desire to reach a state of conscious awareness in which we can live as Spirit with a physical form and utilize the power of Spirit ethically and responsibly.

Our minds, egos, and emotions are more than just vessels; they are tools. They are the practical resources our Spirit uses to interact with our surroundings, make changes, and essentially lead the life we're living.

Our Spiritual Journey - Defining Spirit

We're all part of a universal consciousness, whether you call that the Collective Consciousness, the One, the Universe, or God. Within this construct, we all exist, and the more we evolve our individual consciousness, the more we can individuate (stand as a unique form) within the whole. As we individuate, we gain the ability to be the whole as much as we can be a part of the whole and still stand separate from the whole.

*phew -that might be a lot to process.

Think of it this way: if the Collective were water - the Ocean is the whole, and a drop of water is part of the whole, but that drop can also stand on its own, but it is always a part of the whole and, in being part of the whole, is the whole.

The Drop - Our Individual Spiritual Journey

Our individual journey is the journey from the whole to the drop. Each Spirit incarnates into a body and embarks on a journey to understand and harness their Spirit's power within the confines of human existence.

That Spirit may be part of the whole, and when a lifetime is done, return to the whole to advance the Collective's evolution. But as that Spirit, that piece of the Collective, continues to gather information, as it continues to do its healing and growth work, it eventually individuates and becomes a definable drop within the Collective.

Humanity today tends to, as a whole, be evolved into individuated states, but all of us -organisms, insects, and animals - can all range in their levels of consciousness and individuation. Through my work, I have seen animals who are still part of the whole. They tend to be more linear in their awareness - focused on 1st chakra needs - food, water, air, shelter; and I have seen quite evolved animals whose Spirits have individuated.

So What About Our Journey?

Most of us come in unconscious so that we can focus on learning the lessons we need to learn in order to evolve. We don't have conscious access to the lessons we've learned in previous lifetimes because we learn through adversity. So, direct access to past lessons negates the purpose of incarnating.

As the Collective Consciousness evolves, what we are working on changes. Take the act of enlightenment as an example. Thousands of years ago, our journey to enlightenment was one of attainment outside of the body. We reached a level of conscious awareness such that we left our body or ascended. Although there are still Spirits working on this level of evolution, today, as the Collective has evolved (through our collective incarnations of learning, healing, and growth,) enlightenment today for many isn't something outside of oneself; it is the act of embodying Spirit here in our physical form.

The journey is preset by your Spirit before you incarnate, that is until it isn't. As you evolve in your awareness, you gain the ability to set your path, and that process of reclaiming your ability to set your path is part of your conscious evolution.

Defining Soul

I mentioned that each time we incarnate, most of us come in unconscious to all that has gone before, and that is where our Soul comes into play.

Within us resides the Soul - it sits set back between the third (solar plexus) and fourth (heart) chakras, serving as a memory bank for our spiritual journey. The Soul is the archive of our personal past experiences, carrying these experiences from one lifetime to another. These memories influence our present, especially when we face circumstances similar to those we've encountered before. The Soul also carries the reminder of who we truly are - Spiritual beings with infinite power.

Before we become aware of our spiritual depth, our Soul quietly guides our unconscious decisions. It's the little voice in our head that hints at what to do or what to avoid based on the wisdom collected from past experiences. It is an internal guide even when we're not actively seeking guidance.

The process of awakening to our spiritual reality varies for everyone. Awakening is an act of shifting - from going through the motions of life to actively shaping our path. Awakening enhances our perception, making us more aware of our intentions, decisions, and implications.

Post-awakening, we begin to understand the collaboration between our Spirit and Soul. The Spirit draws from the infinite energy of the One, while the Soul provides context rooted in our experiences. This partnership is essential as we balance our spiritual objectives with our earthly existence.

We're part of a larger, interconnected spiritual network. Our individual development impacts the collective human experience. Every choice and realization contributes to a universal energy field, affecting our trajectory and the collective human Spirit.

Our journey is about understanding our dual existence. We're each a part of the universal Spirit but also navigating the world with our bodies and experiences to evolve our conscious awareness. Recognizing and harnessing these components are critical to living intentionally and contributing to the broader human narrative.

It's a continuous process of learning, unlearning, and relearning as we strive for a deeper understanding and a more connected existence.
